This month, Rust-Oleum has launched a creative marketing campaign to celebrate its 100-year anniversary as the world’s leading manufacturer of innovative coatings that empower do-it-yourselfers and professionals across the globe.
The campaign kicked off on June 1, with plans to share 100 consecutive (weekday) social media posts across Rust-Oleum’s Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter channels in recognition of its centennial—from vintage ads and commercials, to a series of historic photos. It will also highlight major company milestones, such as product innovations, the opening of new facilities, key acquisitions, international expansion and more.
In addition to this social media campaign, Rust-Oleum will be launching the following:
- Limited-edition commemorative spray paint can in an acrylic box on a wooden pedestal
- Celebratory video that will debut at Rust-Oleum’s national sales meeting
- Three print newsletters that focus on the past, present and future of the company
- Anniversary mural painted at the headquarters by an artist on Rust-Oleum’s creative team
Depending on the state of the pandemic this fall, Rust-Oleum also plans to host an in-person centennial celebration in September at its headquarters and other facilities in Vernon Hills, Ill.
