Introducing Tremco Construction Products Group (CPG), Asia Pacific (APAC)

Tremco CPG APAC is committed to Building a Better World. They offer many environmentally friendly construction materials; many of which are internationally recognized by certification programs.  

Some of the sustainability initiatives CPG APAC offers are recycled content, sustainable raw materials, use of solvent-free products, where possible, and many products are complaint with Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) standards.

Why is Building a Better World so important to Tremco CPG APAC?  

At Tremco CPG APAC, we understand that construction is one of the biggest industries to impact the environment, and it’s our responsibility as one of the “big players” to identify areas where we can make a positive contribution.   

What sustainability initiative are you most proud of?  

At the core of our sustainability initiatives are our great products. Many “Green” technologies that have originated from the Americas and Europe, have been brought over to Asia Pacific and some formulated locally by our excellent R&D and Technical teams to suit local building preferences. Our South Korea business – which manufactures a wide range of Tremco sealants – has now emerged as a preferred supplier of green certified products under various Korean sustainability programs. 

While I can’t take credit for the great work of my colleagues, I am very proud to work for a company that is conscious of the construction industry’s impact on the environment. A hugely rewarding part of my role is being able to communicate these successes to the market.  

What are your plans for sustainability in 2022?  

As we enter the new calendar year, we will continue to work hard to lessen our impact on the environment through the development of new, sustainable products and raising awareness amongst our staff.

We have recently formed a green team committee of environmentally conscious employees from various countries and departments who will meet regularly to ensure we are aligning with RPM’s Building a Better World program. The committee is still in its infancy, but we have already identified areas within the APAC business which could be improved, such as adding recycling stations and highlighting ways to reduce energy consumption in our many offices.
