With its long history of building safe, innovative environments for people to work, live and play, Fibergrate’s mission is no different when it comes to protecting its own hard-working associates. As people around the world begin to return to the workplace in the wake of the initial COVID-19 outbreak, Fibergrate took steps to ramp up its many strict safety measures, including a requirement for all associates to wear masks while at work.
Faced with a mask shortage and the need for a quick turnaround, the company turned to Barbara Ensminger, a retired Fibergrate associate who served 40 years with the company before retiring in 2018, for help. Immediately jumping into action, she went above and beyond to sew face masks constructed with a special nose piece for a snug fit designed to prevent fogging safety glasses.
Since her retirement, Barbara has continued to work part-time for Fibergrate in its Samples Department—a demonstration of her long-held passion and dedication to the company. Thank you, Barbara, for stepping up and lending a hand to ensure the safety of your fellow associates during these challenging times!
