What if I told you that our most challenging moments in life were our greatest opportunities to learn and grow? That these moments of adversity can either catapult us to new highs or new lows, depending strictly on how we choose to interpret and respond to them.
We are in one of these moments now, and I want to thank you all for how you’ve responded—specifically applauding your commitment to look out for one another. For those who can work remotely, your support of our customers’ essential businesses, while adhering to government orders, is vital to critical supply chains. To those who cannot work virtually, needing to be physically present in a manufacturing facility, service center, R&D lab or distribution center… I am humbled by your dedication.
RPM’s top priority is to protect the health and well-being of our associates and their families. We are taking as many precautions as we can in our facilities to keep you safe by aggressively cleaning and disinfecting high-touch areas, practicing social distancing and good hygiene, and screening for COVID-19 symptoms prior to entry. Though we are not medical professionals, we understand that people with an elevated temperature may have a potential illness that could spread to others and, as such, we are turning them away. You can do your part, protecting your colleagues, by staying home if experiencing a fever or other symptoms, or if having had contact with someone who is suspected or confirmed to be infected by COVID-19.
Our hope is that not only will we keep our doors open and our people working, but that we will emerge from this crisis as an even stronger team. We are being asked to keep our products flowing, thereby supporting the building and maintaining of hospitals, shelters and other critical infrastructure. Our products and services are needed now, more than ever.
Our colleagues, communities and customers are counting on us. Let’s practice good hygiene and social distancing at work, in our homes and while interacting in our neighborhoods. We are connected and in this together!
Sincerely,
Mike Sullivan
