Like a good neighbor, Dryvit is always there for its community in times of need. Located right around the corner from Dryvit’s Columbus, Georgia, facility, non-profit PAWS Humane Society received donations in support of its 3rd Annual Pet Food Pantry, which was held on September 19 to provide pet food assistance to pet owners in need during the Covid-19 pandemic.
When Dryvit’s associates saw the volunteers from PAWS Humane Society struggling to unload and organize the donations, they quickly jumped into action to lend a helping hand. The team provided a forklift, pallet jack and several able-bodied employees to assist the volunteers in unloading more than 30,000 pounds of pet food.
The majority of the pet food was distributed to the surrounding Columbus community to help pet owners experiencing hardship during this difficult time, while a portion of the food will also be used to feed shelter animals.
The CEO of PAWS Humane Society, Tricia Montgomery, sent a thank you note to the Dryvit team for their “outstanding, amazing and awesome” support and compassion. Kudos to Dryvit for seeing an opportunity to jump in to help a neighbor in need!
