In a short period of time, the global COVID-19 pandemic has completely transformed how businesses operate, the way schools teach and how people navigate through everyday life. Although many want to return to their normal routines and activities, the social distancing necessitated by COVID-19 has provided some people with extra time in their day to devote to learning or sharpening a new skill.
In response, Carboline has found a new way to leverage its industry-leading expertise in performance coatings, linings and fireproofing. It is providing educational opportunities for its customers and employees by creating an online platform for its Corrosion School through a series of free coatings educational webinars.
“Now more than ever, we need to connect to our customers and employees, and we feel that providing free, educational opportunities is a great way to connect during this time,” said Melissa Molitor, Carboline’s vice president of marketing.
Each of Carboline’s educational webinar series consists of about 15 one-hour sessions centered around a theme. They launched on March 31 and will continue to be available to the public through April 29. Each webinar session begins at 10 a.m. CDT daily and covers a variety of topics ranging from generic coatings types and steel surface preparation, to weathering finishes and common coating issues.
Carboline is clearly meeting the needs of its customers and employees, as demonstrated by the fact that its first webinar series quickly reached the maximum capacity of 500 participants.
